Veteran Nollywood Actor, Victor Eze, Is Dead


A popular Nollywood actor, script writer and producer, Victor Okechukwu Eze is dead.
He became famous for the role of Alika in Fuji House of Commotion. The actor was based in Ikorodu Lagos but relocated to his village in the South East in 2011 when he could no longer afford to live in Lagos due to his battle with stroke.

His death was confirmed by the former President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Segun Arinze. Eze, who is OAU graduate and the founder of Vickez Productions died last night in his home town. Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Thin Tall Tony also wrote, “Was looking like a great day until I heard about your passing sir.

“He (Mr Eze), ladies and gentlemen, has been my biggest influence in characters on stage (he was too good on stage and a Lord in switching roles) he could play 6 roles in one production and you couldn’t tell the difference.
“We dancers, stage actors from the national theatre will always miss you.”

Manchester United boss, José Mourinho, Carries Coffin As He Lays Father To Rest In Setubal(Photos)


Jose Mourinho has led mourners at his father's funeral in Portugal. Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix passed away at the age of 79 on Sunday after a battle with illness.
A church service was held upon the Manchester United boss' arrival in Portugal.
Mourinho laid his father to rest on Tuesday and was seen carrying the coffin into the church.

Hundreds of mourners lined the streets of Setubal for the service. Mourinho, who was joined by his wife and daughter Matilde, was consoled by mourners outside the church.
The coffin was draped with the flags of the two clubs Felix played for - Vitoria Setubal and Belenenses.

Over the weekend, Mourinho shared a touching black-and-white image of himself as a young boy with his father. Manchester United and the Portuguese football federation also paid their respects. Mourinho's father made over 270 appearances during his playing career with Vitoria Setubal and Belenenses.
He also won one international cap for Portugal.

2017 BET Awards Full List of Winners


The 2017 BET Awards closed its curtains on Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The star-studded event which celebrated achievements in music, entertainment, sports, television and movies was hosted by Leslie Jones of Saturday Night Live.

The big night saw performances by some of America’s fan-favourite like Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Big Sean and others. Beyonce emerged the biggest winner of the night, taking home the awards for “Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award”, “Best Female R&B/Pop Artist”, “Video of the Year” and “Album of the Year” respectively.

Rave of the moment, Chance the Rapper, took home the highly coveted “Best New Artist” and “Humanitarian Award”.

Nigerian music export, Wizkid, made the Nigerian music industry proud as he took home the “Best International Act: Africa” at the 2017 BET Awards announced at the pre-BET awards held on Saturday.

Soldier Who Is Among Billionaire Kidnapper ‘Evans’ Gang, Apprehended (PHOTOS)


A gang member of Notorious Billionaire Kidnapper “Evans”, an Army Lance Corporal has been arrested. The suspect reportedly made N6.5m from kidnappings.

The Lance Corporal Victor Chukwunonso , with Army No: 09/NA/64/6317, has been arrested.
He was attached to the Nigeria Army Band Corps, Abatti Barrack, in Surulere area of Lagos, was arrested at about 9pm on Friday, in Ojo area of the state, from where he was subsequently taken into police custody.
During investigation Chukwunonso as reliably gathered, admitted to have only gone on three kidnap operations with Evans.

He disclosed that he got a total of N6.5 million from the operations. He revealed to policemen that all the operations were carried out in Festac area of Lagos. He claimed to have been given N3milion from the first operation, N2 million form the second and N1.5million from the third.
